Introduction

You agree not to record, screenshot or copy any of the material in any way. You hereby acknowledge that any of the material, copyright and all intellectual property rights relating to any of GOWISE Academy trainings, as well as logos, graphics and associated website are vested in Hannes Enterprises Ltd, acting under the trademark GOWISE Academy (further in the text GOWISE) in Cyprus and no part may be copied or reproduced in any way.

Cancellations made within five (5) working days prior to the commencement date of each training will not be accepted, and the fees will not be refunded. In case a training is part of an offer, the provided discount will be deducted from the refund total amount. This applies for paid events only.

GOWISE reserves the right to change the date or time of a training or cancel the training due to low enrolment or for any other unforeseen reason, which makes the conduct of the training impractical.

If you do not settle your debt to GOWISE prior to the commencement day of the training, your participation cannot be guaranteed. We therefore consider that by submitting your registration form you commit to settling your debt before the commencement date of the training.

GOWISE is committed to ensure the privacy of individuals in relation to personal data and keep it confidential. You are deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and Privacy Statement that is published on GOWISE Academy website before submitting your registration form.

Code of Conduct for Online Trainings

At GOWISE Academy, we are committed to providing a professional, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all participants. To ensure the best experience for everyone, all participants must adhere to the following Code of Conduct during online training sessions:

Respectful Interaction

Participants must treat trainers, moderators, and fellow participants with courtesy and respect at all times.

Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language, comments, or behavior will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, remarks related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or nationality.

Constructive discussions and questions are encouraged, but interruptions, disrespectful tone, or aggressive behavior are strictly prohibited.

Professional Behavior

Participants are expected to behave professionally throughout the training, as if attending an inperson seminar.

Disruptive actions, such as spamming the chat, talking over others, or making irrelevant comments, are not acceptable.

Participants must dress appropriately for online sessions, especially when cameras are enabled.

Proper Use of Training Platforms

The training platform and related tools should be used responsibly and solely for training purposes.

Unauthorized sharing of meeting links, passwords, or any digital training material is strictly prohibited.

Participants should ensure a stable internet connection, functioning microphone, and camera (where required) for the duration of the session.

All participants must mute their microphones when not speaking to avoid disruptions.

Code of Conduct for Online Trainings Participation Requirements

Active participation is encouraged. This includes engaging in discussions, completing assigned tasks, and participating in interactive sessions.

Participants must follow the trainer’s instructions regarding the use of interactive tools such as polls, quizzes, breakout rooms, and chat features.

Attendance for the full duration of the session is required for the issuance of certificates (where applicable).

Privacy and Confidentiality

Participants are strictly prohibited from recording, photographing, or sharing any part of the training without prior written consent from GOWISE Academy.

Personal information shared during sessions must be treated as confidential and not disclosed externally.

Consequences of Misconduct

GOWISE Academy reserves the right to remove any participant from the training session without notice or refund if they:

  • Engage in disrespectful, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior;
  • Violate intellectual property rights by sharing or reproducing training content without consent;
  • Misuse the training platform in a manner that disrupts the session; – Breach privacy or confidentiality agreements.

In severe cases, legal action may be taken if the behavior constitutes a breach of applicable laws.

Reporting Misconduct

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to the session moderator or by contacting dataprotection@gowiseacademy.com.

By participating in GOWISE Academy’s online training sessions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in disciplinary actions, including removal from the training program without eligibility for a refund.

Technical Requirements for Online and Recorded Trainings

To ensure a seamless and engaging learning experience, GOWISE Academy requires all participants to meet the following minimum technical requirements for attending online and recorded training sessions. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet these requirements before the training begins.

Hardware Requirements

Device: A desktop computer, laptop, or tablet with access to the internet. Smartphones may be used; however, some features may not be fully accessible.

Audio: A working microphone and speakers or headphones are required for participation in live discussions and Q&A sessions.

Video: A webcam or built-in camera for video participation, only in cases when camera use is mandatory for attendance tracking or participation verification.

Technical Requirements for Online and Recorded Trainings Software Requirements

Operating System: Updated versions of Windows, macOS, or Linux for desktops and laptops. For tablets and smartphones, ensure the latest version of Android or iOS.

Web Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge for optimal performance.

Required Applications: Some sessions may require specific software (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex). Participants will be notified in advance to install and test these applications before the training.

PDF Reader: For accessing training materials provided in PDF format.

Internet Connectivity

Connection Speed: A stable broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 5 Mbps for streaming video and audio. For HD streaming and interactive sessions, 10 Mbps or higher is recommended.

Wired Connection (Recommended): For the best experience, especially during live webinars, we recommend using a wired Ethernet connection rather than Wi-Fi to avoid connectivity issues.

Platform Access and Functionality

Test Access: Participants are encouraged to test their access to the training platform and tools at least 24 hours before the session to address any technical issues.

Compatibility Checks: Ensure that firewalls or security settings (especially on corporate networks) do not block access to the training platform.

Backup Options: Have alternative devices or backup internet access ready, if possible, in case of unexpected technical issues. Support and Troubleshooting

Basic troubleshooting support may be provided during live sessions; however, GOWISE Academy is not responsible for resolving individual technical issues that are outside of its control.

In case of technical issues preventing participation, participants should notify the training coordinator immediately.

Responsibility Disclaimer

GOWISE Academy shall not be held responsible for any disruptions or inability to access training sessions due to:

  • Poor internet connection or bandwidth issues on the participant’s end.
  • Incompatibility of participant’s hardware or software.
  • Power outages, hardware malfunctions, or other technical failures experienced by the participant.
  • Issues caused by corporate or personal firewalls, security software, or restricted networks.
  • No refunds or extensions will be provided for sessions missed due to participant-related technical issues.
Technical Requirements for Online and Recorded Trainings  Access to Recorded Trainings

For recorded training sessions, participants must have a reliable internet connection for video streaming.

Recordings are provided in standard formats compatible with most modern devices. Participants must ensure they have the necessary media players installed.

Access to recordings is provided for a limited period. Participants are responsible for viewing the content within the specified timeframe.

By registering for and attending GOWISE Academy’s online and recorded trainings, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Technical Requirements. Failure to meet these requirements may impact participation, access to materials, and certification eligibility, for which GOWISE Academy bears no responsibility.

Force Majeure Clause

GOWISE Academy shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations, including the delivery of training sessions, due to events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control. Such events may include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, fires)
  • Epidemics or pandemics and related government-imposed restrictions or health and safety concerns
  • Acts of war, terrorism, or civil disturbances
  • Governmental actions, orders, or regulations
  • Labor disputes, strikes, or industrial actions
  • Power outages, internet disruptions, or failures in telecommunications or information systems
  • Technical failures, including those affecting the online training platform or other essential technologies
  • In the occurrence of any of the above events, GOWISE Academy reserves the right to:
  • Reschedule, modify, or cancel any affected training session. Provide alternative training dates or formats where feasible.
  • Extend access periods for recorded sessions where applicable.

GOWISE Academy shall make reasonable efforts to minimize the impact of such events and notify affected participants in a timely manner. However, no refunds or compensation will be provided for disruptions arising from these circumstances, and GOWISE Academy shall not be liable for any related losses or damages.

Liability Limitation

GOWISE Academy aims to deliver high-quality training sessions and materials. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GOWISE Academy’s liability to participants is limited as follows:

No Guarantee of Results: GOWISE Academy makes no guarantees or representations regarding specific outcomes or results from participation in its training sessions. The use of training materials and application of knowledge gained is at the participant’s discretion and responsibility.

Liability Limitation

Exclusion of Indirect and Consequential Losses: GOWISE Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of income, revenue, profits, or anticipated savings;
  • Loss of business opportunities, goodwill, or reputation;
  • Business interruption or data loss;
  • Personal injury or health issues arising from or related to participation in training sessions

Limitation of Direct Damages: In cases where liability cannot be fully excluded, GOWISE Academy’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the training services provided, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the participant for the specific training session.

Third-Party Content and Platforms: GOWISE Academy may use third-party platforms and resources to deliver training sessions. GOWISE Academy disclaims all liability for any technical issues, data breaches, or damages resulting from the use of such third-party services, except where required by law.

Participant Responsibilities: Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that they meet the necessary technical and system requirements to attend online and recorded training sessions. GOWISE Academy will not be held liable for issues arising from a participant’s failure to meet these requirements.

By registering for and attending GOWISE Academy training sessions, participants acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Force Majeure Clause and Liability Limitation section.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, as well as any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or in connection with them, including issues relating to their existence, validity, interpretation, performance, or termination, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

By participating in any training sessions or activities organized by Hannes Enterprises Ltd, operating under the trademark GOWISE Academy, participants expressly agree that:

Exclusive Jurisdiction:

  • The courts of the Republic of Cyprus shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, claim, or controversy arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
  • Participants waive any objection to proceedings in such courts on the grounds of venue, inconvenient forum, or any similar grounds.

Legal Proceedings: All legal proceedings related to or arising from participation in GOWISE Academy trainings must be initiated in the courts located in Cyprus, unless GOWISE Academy expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

Compliance with Local Laws: Participants accessing training services from outside Cyprus are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local laws to the extent that they do not conflict with the laws of Cyprus.

Language of Proceedings: All proceedings shall be conducted in English, unless otherwise required by the courts of Cyprus.

By submitting the registration form or participating in any training sessions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Governing Law and Jurisdiction clause, accepting the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus for the resolution of any disputes.

Fraud Prevention and Security

At GOWISE Academy, we prioritize the security of all transactions and are committed to protecting our participants from fraudulent activities. To ensure safe and secure payment processes, we partner with trusted and secure payment providers that comply with industry-leading security standards, including PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance.

Secure Payment Processing

All online payments are processed through secure payment gateways that use encryption technology and secure socket layer (SSL) protocols to safeguard payment information.

GOWISE Academy does not store any credit/debit card details on its servers. All sensitive payment information is handled by certified payment processors in accordance with stringent privacy and security standards. Fraud Prevention Measures

We have implemented robust measures to protect both participants and GOWISE Academy from fraudulent activities, including:

  • Continuous monitoring of transactions for suspicious or unusual patterns.
  • Subjecting transactions from flagged sources to additional verification procedures or declining them when necessary.
  • Reserving the right to request additional identification or proof of payment if any suspicious activity is detected.
  • Delaying registration processing or canceling transactions entirely if fraudulent activities are suspected, pending verification.
Unauthorized Transactions

If you suspect unauthorized use of your payment method for registering in GOWISE Academy training sessions, please contact us immediately at payments@gowiseacademy.com.

Participants are responsible for securing their own payment methods and online accounts. GOWISE Academy shall not be liable for unauthorized transactions resulting from a participant’s failure to maintain adequate security measures. Refunds Related to Fraudulent Transactions

Refund requests related to unauthorized or fraudulent transactions will be processed only after a thorough investigation by the relevant payment service provider.

GOWISE Academy reserves the right to report suspected fraudulent activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities and payment processors where necessary.

Chargebacks and Disputes

In the event of a chargeback initiated by a participant’s bank or financial institution, GOWISE Academy will provide all necessary documentation and transaction details to contest the claim when appropriate.

Fraudulent chargebacks may result in the suspension of the participant’s access to current and future training sessions and may be subject to legal proceedings to recover associated losses.

Third-Party Payment Provider Terms

By proceeding with the payment, participants agree to comply with the terms and conditions and fraud protection policies of the authorized payment processing services used by GOWISE Academy.

GOWISE Academy shall not be responsible for issues arising from disputes between participants and their payment providers.

Reporting Fraudulent Activity

If you encounter any suspicious activity or believe your payment information has been compromised in connection with GOWISE Academy transactions, please notify your payment provider and us immediately at payments@gowiseacademy.com.

By completing the payment process for any GOWISE Academy training session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Fraud Prevention and Security policy. GOWISE Academy reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, with any updates published on our official website.

Refund Policy

GOWISE Academy is committed to providing clear and transparent guidelines regarding refund requests for training sessions. The following outlines how refunds are processed, the circumstances in which partial refunds may apply, and any associated administration fees.

Refund Processing

Payment Methods: Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during the original transaction. In cases where the original payment method is no longer available, GOWISE Academy will work with the participant to arrange an alternative refund method, subject to appropriate verification.

Processing Timelines: Refunds will be processed within 14 working days from the date the refund request is approved. Refunds may take additional time to appear in the participant’s account depending on the processing times of the relevant financial institution.

Notification of Refund: Participants will receive email confirmation once the refund has been processed.

Eligibility for Refunds

Standard Cancellation Refunds:

  • Participants who cancel their registration more than five (5) working days before the training commencement date are eligible for a full refund, less any applicable administration fees.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within five (5) working days prior to the training start date.
Refunds Due to GOWISE Academy Cancellations

If GOWISE Academy cancels a training session due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be given the option to:

  • Receive a full refund, with no administration fees deducted.
  • Transfer the registration to a future session of the same training (subject to availability).
  • In such cases, GOWISE Academy will notify participants at the earliest opportunity and process any applicable refunds within 14 working days of cancellation.
Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be provided under the following conditions:

  • Failure to attend the training without prior notice (no-show).
  • Inability to participate due to technical issues on the participant’s side (e.g., lack of required software, insufficient internet connection).
  • Dissatisfaction with training content after participation (unless the training is proven not to have met the described curriculum).
  • Breach of the Code of Conduct, leading to removal from the training session.
Refund Request Procedure

Submitting a Request: Participants must submit refund requests in writing via email to refunds@gowiseacademy.com, providing: Full name and contact details, training session details (name, date, and time), Reason for the refund request, along with supporting documentation of payment.

Acknowledgment and Review: GOWISE Academy will acknowledge the receipt of refund requests within 5 working days and inform the participant of the outcome after review.

Appeals Process

If a refund request is denied, participants may appeal the decision by providing additional supporting documentation within 7 working days of receiving the decision.

The appeal will be reviewed by GOWISE Academy’s management, and the final decision will be communicated within 10 working days of the appeal submission.

By registering for any training session, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions were last updated on 25 February 2025.

We may update these Terms and Conditions any time by publishing an updated version here. So you know when we make changes to this statement, we will amend the revision date at the top of this page. The new modified  statement will apply from that revision date. Therefore, we encourage you to review this statement periodically to be informed about how we are protecting your information.

You are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions as well as the use of personal data, as explained in GOWISE Privacy Statement before submitting the registration form or before the purchase of the training.
