About this course

The objectives of this seminar are to:

Learn why risk management is essential and distinguish between risk and uncertainty using ISO 31000:2018 and COSO ERM framework.

Classify both financial (credit, market, interest-rate) and non-financial (operational, compliance, reputational, strategic, ICT, fraud) risks with real-world examples.

Strengthen ERM governance by defining the roles of the board and senior management and developing practical Key Risk Indicators distinct from Key Performance Indicators.

Apply at least three risk-identification techniques to assess inherent versus residual risk severity and plot priorities on a heat map.

Conduct cost–benefit analyses to select risk responses, establish follow-up schedules, and design concise reporting templates for stakeholders.
