EBA Pillar 3 data hub goes live

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has officially launched its Pillar 3 Data Hub, marking a major step forward for financial transparency in Europe.

What is it? For the first time, prudential information from all European Economic Area (EEA) institutions is publicly accessible on a single, harmonized digital platform.

Key Benefits:

  • Enhanced Transparency: Boosts market discipline and strengthens the resilience of the European financial system.
  • Intuitive Tools: Users can explore official data via an interactive visualization tool to easily compare metrics across institutions and reference dates.
  • Deep Analysis: Bulk data downloads are available for comprehensive research.

Large institutions began submitting their data on January 26, 2026, and the full dataset for the first three reference dates (June, September, and December 2025) is expected to be available by this June. This centralized hub directly supports the implementation of the latest Basel III reforms under the new EU Banking Package.
