FATF Updates Jurisdictions Under Increased Monitoring – June 2025
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has released its latest update on jurisdictions under increased monitoring, commonly referred to as the “grey list.” This update reflects the global standard-setting body’s ongoing efforts to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing.
Following its June 2025 Plenary, the FATF has made the following changes:

The jurisdictions that have been added have committed to addressing the identified deficiencies within agreed timeframes and will be subject to heightened FATF monitoring. The countries removed have demonstrated substantial progress in improving their anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) regimes and will now transition to regular follow-up procedures.
Currently, more than 20 jurisdictions remain under increased monitoring and are actively working with the FATF or relevant regional bodies to strengthen their AML/CFT frameworks. FATF continues to encourage all jurisdictions to address identified deficiencies swiftly and effectively.
The FATF emphasizes that inclusion on the list does not imply a blanket restriction on financial transactions but calls for a risk-based approach by businesses and financial institutions.
